Engine- Youtube Channel
I have been on and off of Youtube for the better part of a decade now. I fell in love with video editing at 15 years old, when all I had was my iPhone 8+ and Macbook. I loved learning how to do new effects and transitions on iMovie, I’d spend hours playing around with it.
A few months ago I decided to create my youtube channel— Engine— now that I have better equipment and software that allows me to showcase my skills to their best potential.
I now use Final Cut Pro, I have 2 canon cameras I record with, and I have a new M4 Macbook Pro that allows me to edit and create content seamlessly.
Creating Youtube videos have sharpened my producing skills immensely; this has improved my scripting, video production, audio editing, storytelling, and content strategy skills. I love producing long form content, and I hope it’s a form of content we see more of.
With how popular short form content has become, I had to hop on the train at one point.
I really appreciate aesthetically pleasing short form content; how-to videos, lifestyle, gym content, are probably some of my favorite type of videos to watch.
Producing short form content has allowed me to improve my content strategy, engagement, and editing skills among others.
Live Production
Z89 Radio Station - WJPZ-FM 89.1
I got the exciting opportunity to work with my college’s radio station which gave me invaluable experience.
I got to work as a DJ Host and a Radio Show Host. As a DJ Host, I was in charge of choosing trendy music and having entertaining breaks. As a show host, I had to keep engaging conversations with my co hosts while staying on topic and managing music breaksl
Producing live radio allowed me to gain on-air experience and taught me how to keep an engaging tone, recognize trending music, and multitask all while following FCC guidelines.
